The bright lights of Broadway in Detroit will be on this fall.

After shuttering during March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the theater outfit -- recently sold by the Nederlander Company to Britain's Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) -- has announced a six-show subscription series starting in early November as well as additional productions.

The shows will be open to full capacity, pending state and local restrictions at the time. Broadway in Detroit Marketing Director Scott Myers says the company "will have a complete health and safety plan closer to our reopening" that will be announced soon and updated "as circumstances change."

The season kicks off with "Pretty Woman: The Musical," Nov. 2-14 at the Fisher Theatre. Other shows at the Fisher include "Hadestown," Nov. 23-Dec. 5; "What the Constitution Means to Me," Dec. 14-19 and Dec. 27-Jan. 2; "Hairspray," Jan. 18-30; and "An Officer and a Gentleman," Feb. 1-13. "Ain't Too Proud -- The Life and Times of the Temptations," which was slated to open the 2020-21 season last summer, now runs Aug. 9-28, 2022 at the Detroit Opera House.

Dates for "Disney's Frozen" and "Disney's The Lion King" will be announced soon. Meanwhile, Broadway in Detroit has also rescheduled "Beautiful -- The Carole King Musical" for Jan. 4-9 and "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" for March 8-20, both at the Fisher.

Season tickets are currently available via BroadwayinDetroit.com/season. Individual show tickets will go on sale at a later date.
