Hip-hop by far dominates Detroit-area listening habits -- at least as far as Apple Music is concerned.

Detroit is one of more than 100 cities around the world measured for one of the streaming service's City Charts, which debuted this week. In compiling the survey Apple Music measures the number of streams as well as "additional signs of local popularity," including repeat plays and other listening patterns. Each week's chart will list the Top 25 songs in each city.

Detorit's inaugurual City Chart was topped by Polo G's "Rapstar," followed in the Top 10 by: "Da Gang," 42 Dugg & Bobby Rich; "Hard For the Next" and "Go!" by Moneybagg Yo & Future; "On Me, "Lil Baby; "Time Today," Moneybagg Yo," "Wants and Needs," Drake featuring Lil Baby; "Back in Blood," Pooh Shiesty featuring Lil Durk; "G.I. Joe," Lil Yachty featuring Louie Ray; and "Hellcats & Trackhawks," Only the Family and Lil Durk.
