You can hear music from around the state this week without having to leave your home. Or screens.

Produced by Grand Rapids' Michigan Music Alliance, Spread the Music 2021 features nearly 90 acts performing via Facebook Live through Sunday, March 28 including the likes of Jackson Smith with Vinnie Dombroski of Sponge and the Orbitsuns, the Verve Pipe's Brian Vander Ark, the Accidentals, the Gasoline Gypsies, the Kate Hinote Trio and more.

Performances are either pre-recorded or will come live from venues around the state, including the Listening Room in Grand Rapids on Wednesday, March 24 and Sunday, March 28, The Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey/Traverse City on Thursday, March 25, Lake Orion's 20 Front Street on Friday, March 26, and Seven Steps Up in Spring Lake on Saturday, March 27.

The full schedule and updates can be found at spreadthemusicfestival.org.

Proceeds raised during the event benefit the MMA's Artist Relief Fund to help musicians impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
