CD Reviews:
New Music: Ringo Starr, Lana Del Rey, Justin Bieber, Loretta Lynn, more...
Checking out this week's new music releases...
Album of the Week: Ringo Starr has always gotten by with a little help from his friends -- and there are a lot of those on his new EP, "Zoom In" (UMe). Among the guests are Beatles mate Paul McCartney, brother-in-law Joe Walsh, Toto's Steve Lukather, Dave Grohl, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crow, Finneas, the Black Puma's Eric Burton, Chris Stapleton, Ben Harper, Jenny Lewis and Yola -- and that's just on the first track "Here's to the Nights." Rest assured there's more Starr power on the other four, too.
Album Title of the Week: Lana Del Rey, "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" (Interscope)
Did Ya Know?: Loretta Lynn's 50th solo studio album, "Still Woman Enough" (Legacy), is a tribute to female contributions to country music, from the Carter Family to her own material ("I'm A Honky Tonk Girl," "Coal Miner's Daughter") with guest appearances by Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Tanya Tucker and Margo Price.
