"Genius: Aretha" series sneak previews at Detroit drive-in

Aretha Franklin fans can get a sneak peek at the first episode of National Geographic's highly anticipated "Genius: Aretha" miniseries on Saturday, March 13 eight days before it premieres on the channel at the Monroe Street Drive-In, 32 Monroe St. Detroit. Gates open at 6 p.m. and free admission is on a first-come basis. The episode will be followed with a concert by star Cynthia Erivo filmed at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. "Genius: Aretha" debuts at 9 p.m. March 21, then March 22 on Hulu, with two episodes per night through March 25, which would have been Franklin's 79th birthday.
