Checking out this week's new music releases...

Album of the Week: Home is where Alice Cooper's heart is on "Detroit Stories" (earMUSIC), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shock rocker's 21st solo album. Recorded mostly in his birthplace with producer Bob Ezrin, the set features covers of Motor City luminaries such as the MC5, Bob Seger, Mitch Ryder & Detroit and Outrageous Cherry and hard-rocking originals -- including collaborations with his original Alice Cooper bandmates and guest appearances by Joe Bonamassa, Sister Sledge, Grand Funk Railroad's Mark Farner, the MC5's Wayne Kramer, U2's Larry Mullen Jr. and more.

Album Title of the Week: Sydney Sprague, "maybe I will see you at the end of the world" (Rude;

Did Ya Know?: "Bob Dylan -- 1970 (50th Anniversary Collection)" (Columbia/Legacy) started life as a quiet U.K. release to maintain copyright claims to the material -- including a May 1 session with George Harrison. Its notoriety led to a full-scale release over three CDs.
