A new batch of artists -- including actor Kiefer Sutherland -- has been added to the lineup of the 44th Ann Arbor Folk Festival.
The event, produced as a fundraiser by and for The Ark and usually held at the University of Michigan's Hill Auditorium, is taking place virtually this year on Jan. 29-30. Tickets are now on sale via theark.org.
In addition to Sutherland, the Jan. 29 lineup has added Ron Pope, Gina Chavez and Willie Watson. David Bromberg will make a record 10th appearance at the festival on Jan. 30, added to the roster with Crys Matthews and Andrea von Kampen.
The festival's initial lineup was announced Dec. 15, with 15 acts including Raul Malo, Colin Hay, the Accidentals, the War and Treaty, Bruce Cockburn and others. All of the performances will be freshly produced for the event.
