The Ark's 44th Ann Arbor Folk Festival will go on in January -- just not in its usual form.
Like so many events the festival, usually held at U-M's Hill Auditorium and the venue's largest fundraiser each year, will be virtual on Jan. 29-20. The acts will stream live from the Ark's stage -- the Accidentals on Jan. 29, the RFD Boys on Jan. 30 -- while others will be play from remote locations.
This year's lineup includes:
Jan. 29 -- Raul Malo, Colin Hay, Alan Doyle, the War and Treaty, Joe Pug, Glen Phillips and Amythis Kiah;
Jan. 30 -- Robert Earl Keen, Bruce Cockburn, Dar Williams, George Winston, Vance Gilbert, Dom Flemons, Matt Andersen adn Sierra Ferrell.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 18 via the ark.org.
