Albums of the Week: Salutes to a couple of American music icons see the mass-release light of day this week. "Sing Me Back Home: The Music of Merle Haggard" (Blackbird Presents/Caroline) is a CD/DVD set hailing from a 2017 all-star tribute in Nashville that features the Hag done by the likes of Alabama, Keith Richards, John Mellencamp, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sheryl Crow and many more. Willie Nelson got the same treatment in 2019, with a "Willie Nelson, American Outlaw" (Blackbird Presents/Caroline) guest list that included more Mellencamp, Chris Stapleton, Jimmy Buffett, Eric Church, George Strait, Dave Matthews, Nelson himself and others.

Did Ya Know?: "Comet (Sunset Blvd.) is the first new album in 25 years from the country-rock troupe, whose lineup still includes co-founders Jock Bartley, Mark Andes and David Muse.
