It will be entertainment from the comfort of ... your car, this weekend in Detroit and Pontiac.

Pontiac's Crofoot Ballroom begins its drive-in concert series with performances by the Shinedown duo of Smith & Myers on Saturday, Oct. 17, and electronic artist Subtronics on Sunday, Oct. 18, both at 6 p.m. on the Crofoot Festival Grounds in the city's Lot #9 at the corner of Pike and Saginaw streets. Capacity is 300 vehicles, with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. Tickets and other information at thecrofoot.com. Steel Panther's planned concert for Friday, Oct. 16, was canceled. Refunds via point of purchase.

The Michigan Opera Theatre, meanwhile, rolls out its production of "Twilight: Gods" an adaptation of Richard Wagner's "Twilight of the God" from his "Ring Cycle" into the Detroit Opera House Parking Center for performances at 3:50 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17-18, and Tuesday, Oct. 20.
