The evening team at Southfield-based country radio station WYCD was among the winners at the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards.

Rob Stone and Holly Hutton, whose "The Rob and Holly" show airs at 7 p.m. weeknights, was named the ACM's On-Air Personality of the Year -- Major Market on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The award was announced prior to the CBS national telecast, hosted by Keith Urban, but was mentioned during the program.

The duo acknowledged the win on its social media, posting, "OH MY GOSH!! We are so honored to win the...award! Thank you to everyone who supports and listens everyday! We love you and couldn't do it without you!"

"The Rob and Holly" show recently moved from afternoons to evenings. It's also begun syndicating into 17 other markets, including stations in New York, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, Memphis, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Portland and more.

Stone, meanwhile, is also a singer and songwriter and will be releasing a new single, "With Me Tonight," on Sept. 22. Hutton is active in animal rescue and serves on the board of the Sand Stone Farm Rescue for horses.
