Big Sean has ended Taylor Swift's grip at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
The Detroit rapper's new album, "Detroit 2," debuted at No. 1 after its Sept. 4 release with first-week sales of 103,000 coopies across all platforms. It's his third consecutive release to achieve that feat, following 2015's "Dark Sky Paradise" and 2017's "I Decided."
Swift's "Folklore" had spent the previous six weeks atop the survey.
Big Sean announced "Detroit 2," a follow-up to his 2012 mixtape "Detroit," during March. Teh 21-track album features guest appearances by fellow Detroiters Eminem, Royce da 5' 9", Kash Doll and Dwele, as well as Diddy, Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Young Thug, the late Nipsey Hustle and others.
