Album of the Week: "AngelHeadedHipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan & T. Rex" (BMG) is more poignant than the usual tribute album. The all-star 26-song set gives the late Bolan and company its due two months before its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, with U2 and Elton John, Kesha, Todd Rundgren, Perry Farrell, Father John Misty and others tipping their musical hats. It's also one of the last projects by the late producer Hal Wilner, who passed away April 7 from Covid-19.



Album Title of the Week: Emily Barker, "A Dark Murmuration of Words" (Thirty Tigers);



Did Ya Know?: Jarv Is" is the band launched by Pulp frontman and Britpop icon Jarvis Cocker. The troupe’s debut album, "Beyond the Pale" (Rough Trade) is out Friday, Sept. 4, after being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
