Pontiac’s Clutch Cargo’s and Detroit electronic music promoters Paxahau join forces to present Therapy, a special dance party that will take place the second Friday of each month beginning Oct. 12 in the venue’s basement iLounge. Detroit soul-rock singer and Kid Rock protege Ty Stone, who’s preparing his first major label album for release in 2008, headlines Blender magazine’s latest Blender Rocks Detroit showcase at 9 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 13) at the Magic Bag, 22920 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. Five Horse Johnson, Dirty Americans and Dirt Road Logic are also on the bill. Detroit-bred blues harmonica player James Montgomery comes home Sunday (Oct. 14) to be the inaugural act at Dylan’s, a new tapas and sushi restaurant and club in Grosse Pointe Park owned by his brother, John Montgomery. James Montgomery and his bassist, David Hull, will be joined by Detroit Wheels and Rockets partners Jimmy McCarty on guitar and Johnnie “Bee” Badanjek on drums.
