Eminem is connecting with fans again -- online and by phone -- this week.

The Detroit rapper will host a listening party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his award-winning third studio album, "The Marshall Mathers LP," on Wednesday, May 27, via Spotify. A time has not yet been announced.

And playing off a lyric in the single "Stan" ("text me and I'll hit you back") Eminem has also released a new cell phone number -- 313-666-7440 -- encouraging fans to contact him.

"The Marshall Mathers LP" came out May 23, 2000, following the multi-platinum breakout of "The Slim Shady LP" a year before. The 18-track set was executive produced by Dr. Dre and featured guest appearances by Dido (on "Stan"), RBX, Sticky Fingaz, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Eminem's band D12, his manager Paul Rosenberg and label executive Steve Berman.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it 1.78 million first-week sales made it the fastest selling album in the U.S. to that point. Eminem received a Diamond Award for sales of more than 10 million copies in the U.S. It spawned the hits "The Real Slim Shady" and "The Way I Am." It was named Best Rap Album at the 2001 Grammy Awards (it was also nominated for Album of the Year), and "The Real Slim Shady" was named Best Rap Solo Performance.

Eminem -- who released a new album, "Music to be Murdered By," in January -- released a sequel, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," in 2013.

Eminem has also released a new line of merchandise to commemorate the anniversary, available via shop.eminem.com.
