WDET-FM (101.9) will kick off its spring on-air fundraising drive with a blast from its rock ’n’ roll past.
Mike Halloran will be in town to re-create his popular "Radios in Motion" show — which brought punk, New Wave and other underground music to the airwaves on the station from 1980-87 — from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21. Halloran, now on air in San Diego, will be joined by regular "Essential Music" host Ann Delisi, as well as his former "Radios in Motion" co-host Carolyn Striho and concert announcer Amy A. Traction (nee Garber).
As part of the special broadcast, WDET also has re-created the original Radios in Motion T-shirt, which will be available for one-time donations of $80.
