Sting's "The Last Ship" will not be sailing into the Detroit Opera House next month, and "The Color Purple" has been tabled at the Music Hall Center.

Broadway in Detroit has cancelled both shows -- which were slated to run during the third week of April -- due to the continuing novel coronavitus pandemic.

Refunds can be made at the point of purchase, including the Fisher Theatre Subscriptions and Group Sales departments.

At this time Broadway in Detroit is still planning to present its other upcoming performances, starting with "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" in June.
