Kid Rock has decided to surprise his hometown fans with a small-hall concert to celebrate the release of his new album, "Rock N Roll Jesus."
Rock will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens. Tickets are $49 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 3) at the box office and Ticketmaster outlets. It will be the first of a series of club and theater shows rock is playing to herald the album's Oct. 2 release; a full tour is expected to follow in early 2008.
Rock recorded "Rock N Roll Jesus" at the Chophouse, his home studio on his compound in Clarkston. It was co-produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls) and was preceded by the first single, "Too Hott."
