Big Sean had plenty of help in making his upcoming album "Don Life."
Talking to Entertainment Weekly for its new fall preview issue, the Detroit rapper real name Sean Anderson) reveals that in addition to recently released singles such as "Overtime" and "Single Again," the set includes features by Post Malone and A$AP Rocky on the track "Wolves" (Big Sean recently made a surprise appearance with Malone at Little Caesars Arena), which he says is "about my family growing up." Rocky also appears on another song with Atlanta MC MadeinTYO, while Meek Mill and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs also make cameos.
"Don Life" will be Big Sean's fifth studio album and first since "I Decided" in 2017. He also released "Double or Nothing," collaboration with Metro Boomin, that year.
Big Sean canceled 2018 tour dates in order to work on "Don Life," whose release date has not been announced. He says the hiatus has "been great. Part of the process I've been going through is building myself up to be a man and my best version of myself...It's been ups and downs. It's been me learning a lot. It's been me being able to be more in tune with myself...
"I realized that all these things that are conditional can't really give me the unconditional love that I was in dire need of. That you come to a point in life where you realize that the car, the house, whatever it is that you thought you wanted, that was a temporary fix."
"Don Life" also includes the song "Lucky Me," in which Big Sean reveals his heart disease since he was a youth, which was helped by his motherís holistic medicine regimen.
