Frankenmuth's Greta Van Fleet has a surprise new song out.

"Always There" was recorded during sessions for the group's 2018 album "Anthem of the Peaceful Army" but not included on the Grammy Award-winning set. The melodic, folk-rock flavored track has now surfaced online as part of the soundtrack for the movie "A Million Little Pieces," an adaptation of the book of the same tile by James Frey that will star Billy Bob Thornton, Juliette Lewis and others.

The film premieres Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Toronto International Film Festival and opens in theaters Dec. 6. Plans for a soundtrack album have not yet been announced.

Greta Van Fleet finishes its current Australian tour, also on Tuesday, and begins a U.S. tour Sept. 21 in Kansas City, with Europe on tape for November. The quartet is currently working on its next album, reportedly with producer Greg Kurstin.
