Saying goodbye is a lucrative proposition for Bob Seger -- and others.

The Detroit rocker's farewell tour, currently on a summer break, was among the Top 10 grossing road shows at the 2019 midyear mark, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Seger's trek, which began Nov. 21 in Grand Rapids and included six June shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre, placed eighth overall, taking in nearly $45.5 million across 32 shows. He joined others on farewell tours, including Elton John -- No. 1 overall with nearly $100.9 million across 51 shows, and Kiss, No. 5 with nearly $58.7 million across 43 shows.

The Top 10 also included: Justin Timberlake, No. 2, $75,644,352, 38 shows; 3. Ed Sheeran, No. 3, $70,848,732 across 20 shows; Pink, No. 4, $58,948,647 across 29 shows; Travis Scott, No. 6, $58,666,153 across 54 shows; Trans-Siberian Orchestra, No. 7, $55,151,261 across 89 shows; Drake, No. 9, $42,843,671 across 23 shows; and Metallica, No. 10, $41,732,761 across 21 shows.

Seger and his Silver Bullet Band resume Sept. 12 in Rapid City, S.D. with 14 shows, currently finishing Oct. 19 in Chicago. There's no word yet on whether additional dates will be added to the farewell trek.
