Bob Seger, in the midst of a farewell tour that comes back to the metro area next week, is putting off his famous final scene for a few more months.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band have announced nine new shows for the fall, starting Sept. 12 in Rapid City, S.D. and including a Sept. 21 make-up date in Tacoma, Wash., which was postponed by weather earlier this year.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will also perform in Fargo, N.D. (Sept. 14), Bozeman, Mont. (Sept. 17), Spokane, Wash. (Sept. 19); Eugene, Ore. (Sept. 24), San Francissco (Sept. 26), Salt Lake City (Sept. 28), Columbia, Mo. (Oct. 3) and Indianapolis (Oct. 5). The shows are part of Seger's Roll Me Away farewell tour, which begins a sold-out six-show run on June 6 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre.
There's no word yet on any additional dates for the fall run.
Tickets for the new shows go on sale June 7, with a fan club pre-sale three days earlier.
