Kid Rock is coming home to perform for the first time in nearly two years.

The Romeo native, who maintains homes in Clarskton and Detroit as well as other cities, and his Twisted Brown Trucker band will play back-to-back weekends Sept. 6-7 and 13-14 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. Tickets, $39 and up, go on sale at 10 a.m. April 6, with a fan club pre-sale starting at 10 a.m. April 2.

They shows will be Rock's first since he played six to open Little Caesars Arena during September of 2017. Back in 2015 Rock set a record at DTE for the most shows by one act during a single summer (10, breaking good buddy Bob Seger's eight nights) and for playing to the most fans in an single season (an estimated 145,000).

Last year Rock released his first compilation album, "Greatest Hits YOu Never Saw Coming."
