Bob Seger & his Silver Bullet Band were part of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for less than a week.

Seger and company -- in the midst of his Final Tour farewell trek -- were named as part of the lineup for this year's edition of the historic festival, taking place April 25-28 and May 2-5. The group has now bowed out owing to an unspecified "scheduling conflict."

Seger next plays Saturday, Jan. 19, in Columbus, and currently has dates booked through mid-March, with a lone May 2 show in Texas. No Detroit-area shows have yet been announced.

Full dates can be found at bobseger.com.

The New Orelans festival will also feature perfomrances by the Rolling Stones, Mavis Staples, Tom Jones, Earth, Wind & Fire, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, Van Morrison, John Fogerty, Chaka Khan, Los Lobos, Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, Jimmy Buffett, Aaron Neville, Boz Scaggs, Dave Mathews Band, Jimmy Cliff, Katy Perry, Gladys Knight, Gary Clark, Jr., Los Lobos, the Robert Cray Band, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Indigo Girls, Pitbull and Herbie Hancock. There will also be a tribute to jazz legend Ellis Marsalis by his sons Wynton and Branford Marsalis, among others. Tickets went on sale Friday, Jan. 18. More details at nojazzfest.com.
