Jack White, Dave Matthews Band announce area shows

Jack White will start his upcoming concert tour in his home town of Detroit this spring.

White, who owns the Third Man Records store and vinyl pressing plant in the Cass Corridor, launches the tour on April 19 at Little Caesars Arena, the largest venue he’s ever played in metro Detroit. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 26. A pre-sale for members of the Third Man Records Vault will have access to a pre-sale beginning Jan. 22. Visit 313Presents.com for more details.

White to drop new album in MarchThe tour is supporting White’s third solo album, “Boarding House Reach,” which comes out March 23. White has announced 37 dates for the tour in North America and Europe, including performances at the Shaky Knees Music Festival in Atlanta, the Boston Calling Music Festival and the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York. He’ll also be performing on April 21 at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids.

The tour currently wraps up Aug. 23 in Las Vegas.
