News:
Bob Seger has successful surgery on vertebrae
Bob Seger may be off the road. But now he’s on the road to recovery.
The rock veteran postponed his Runaway Train Tour three weeks ago to deal with “an urgent medical issue with is vertebrae.” Now an update on his Facebook page reveales that Seger had surgery on Friday, Oct. 20 and that, “According to his doctors, the surgery ‘couldn’t have gone better.’ Bob wants to thank all his fans for the outpouring of well wishes and support. We hope to have news regarding dates for the tour.”
Seger postponed 19 shows scheduled to run through Nov. 17 -- the same day he’ll be releasing his new album, “I Knew You When.” The album is still on track for release in both standard and deluxe editions.
Seger did play all of the Michigan dates on the tour, including in Saginaw and Grand Rapids and at the DTE Energy Music Theatre before playing the final concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Sept. 23.
