They’ll be playing music all around Detroit on Wednesday, June 21.
The Summer Solstice is also Make Music Day around the world, with Detroit joining more than 700 other cities in presenting a day full of music -- inspired by Fete de la Musique in France. More than 150 performers of all genres and configurations will be taking part, with shows at more than three dozen venues in downtown, midtown, Corktown, Cass Corridor, Cultural Center and other areas of Detroit.
Performances start as early as noon and go as late as 11:55 p.m., depending on venues.
This is Detroit’s second year as part of the event. A full schedule can be found at makemusicdetroit.org.
