After announcing a pair of home town shows for September, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band are indeed going, as the song says, on the road again.
The groupís 24-date Runaway Train Tour gets under way close to home, on Aug. 24 at the Huntington Center in Toledo. In addition to the two Oakland County shows -- a sold-out Sept. 9 date at the DTE Energy Music Theatre and the Sept. 23 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills that goes on sale June 9 -- other Michigan stops include Saginaw on Sept. 7 and Grand Rapids on Sept. 19.
The tourís last date is Oct. 28 in Phoenix, but the announcement promises shows in additional cities will be forthcoming.
Seger fan club pre-sales for many of the concerts begin June 6, with public on-sales starting June 9.
These will be Seger and the Silver Bulletsí first live dates since finishing the Ride Out Tour on March 30, 2015 in Indianapolis. Seger has been recording new material in Nashville but itís not known if any of it will be released prior to or during the tour.
