Bob Seger will be making some night moves in the metro area this summer.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band have announced a “one night only” concert for Sept. 9 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 20. For more details visit palacenet.com.
It marks Seger’s first appearance at the amphitheater since a tour-closing performance on June 21, 1996 and will be Seger’s 27th show there overall. His last concert in the area was March 26, 2015 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
No other Seger concerts have been announced yet for the year; The Tour section his web site features the message “Stay tuned...” He’s been writing and recording new material in both the metro area and Nashville.
Seger Bullet Club members will have early access to tickets at 10 a.m. May 16. Fans can join at Seger’s official web site, BobSeger.com, with special premium packages as well.
Seger will also be releasing special vinyl editions of his 1969 debut album “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” and his “Greatest Hits” set on June 2, with colored vinyl editions expected later in the month. More details are forthcoming.
