Paul McCartney is getting back to Detroit this fall.
The Beatles bassist and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will play Oct. 1 at Little Caesers Arena, the fifth act -- after Kid Rock, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga and Andrea Bocelli -- to be announced for the new facility. Tickets, priced $59.50-$250, go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, May 1.
It's McCartney's first visit to the metro area since and Oct. 21, 2015 stop at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena. He's previously performed at Olympia Stadium -- with the Beatles and Wings -- the Palace of Auburn Hills and the Pontiac Silverdome.
McCartney is currently working on a new studio album. Earlier this year he released a deluxe expanded edition of his 1989 album "Flowers In The Dirt," while a 50th anniversary package celebrating the Beatles' "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" is due out May 26.
