A variety of international flavors will be featured on Sunday (July 22nd) at the Motor City Music Foundation’s

first-ever World Music Showcase, which takes place at 7 p.m. at Memphis Smoke, 100 S. Main St., Royal Oak. The lineup includes a Latin jazz set by Sheila Landis and Rick Matle with Renell Gonsalves, Celtic music from McCabe’s Ladies, the steel drum ensemble Steve Lawhorn & Friends and singer-songwriter Natalie Myziuk, a Michigan Songwriting Contest finalist. Heads will be banging Saturday (July 2st) at the Magic Bag in Ferndale when Core Effect and Inkvine — along with Ether Aura and Waxing Cairo — join forces for a full-volume workout.
