A new rock-rap coalition that's all the, well, rage is coming to the DTE Energy Music Theatre this summer.
Prophets of Rage, an all-star combination of Rage Against The Machine's instrumentalists with rappers Chuck D of Public Enemy and B-Real will play Sept. 1 at the Independence Township amphitheatre. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 10.
The politically minded quintet debuted May 31 at the Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood, Calif., playing songs by all three groups and also played at the Hollywood Palladium. The group kicks off its Make America Rage Again Tour on July 19 during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. The group begins the tour in earnest on Aug. 19 in Fairfax Va., and has hinted it may also play a show during the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
