Two days after announcing a summer show at the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, Seattle rockers Alice In Chains have changed their plans.
The group has released a statement saying, "We're still coming to Detroit, but we're no longer playing the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre. We have some very exciting news to share shortly. Stay tuned for more details soon."
The group was slated to play on July 17 at Freedom Hill, with tickets going on sale Friday, May 13. There are rumors that Alice In Chains will instead be opening for Guns N' Roses on June 23 at Detroit's Ford Field, but neither band has confirmed that.
