WYCD hoedown headed north for 34th year
The WYCD Hoedown is on the move again -- this time to Oakland County.
After a one-year stint at Detroit's Riverfront Park in 2015, the 34th annual edition of the show will downsize to one day, July 31, at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Independence Township. Brad Paisley and Chris Young will headline a three-stage bill that also includes Brandy Clark, Chris Lane, Drew Baldrige, Jordan Rager, Lindsay Eli, Runaway June, Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys, with more to be announced.
The Hoedown began life as a weekend-long event in Detroit's Hart Plaza and also spent several years outside Comerica Park.
Tickets are $35-$78 pavilion, $29 lawn and go on sle at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16. More information is available at palacenet.com.
