Flint-formed Grand Funk Railroad is among the acts performing as part of this summer's 11th annual Rockin' on the Riverfront series in downtown Detroit.
The classic rock shows kick off July 8 with former Doobie Brothers member Michael McDonald, while ex-Eagles guitarist Don Felder and his band follows on July 15. Blue Oyster Cult takes the stage on July 22, Grand Funk -- featuring founding members Don Brewer and Mel Schacher -- plays July 29, Starship takes off Aug. 5 and Poison's Bret Michaels brings things to a close on Aug. 12.
The concerts are free and take place on the plaza behind the GM Renaissance Center on the Detroit Riverfront.
