Prince is ready to make a hit-and-run in Detroit. But it will hardly be a crime.

Prince and his latest band, 3rdEyeGirl, will make the second stop of their HitNRun tour on April 9 in the Detroit area; the venue has not yet been announced. Tickets will go on sale at noon Monday, April 6, with more details about that coming as well. Proceeds from the show will go to local charities to be announced.

Judith Hill, featured in the Academy Award-winning documentary "20 Feet From Stardom," will be the opening act.

Prince launched the HitNRun tour last year in the U.K. and played the first U.S. dates during April in Louisville. He and 3rdEyeGirl are supporting their pair of 2014 releases, "Art Official Age" and "Plectrumelectrum."

www.livenation.com will post updated details about the concert.
