Kid Rock is returning to the DTE Energy Music Theatre this summer, this time to play six shows during his tour to support his new album, "First Kiss."

The Clarkston-based rocker and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band -- who tied Bob Seger's record of eight shows at DTE during August of 2013 -- will play Aug. 7-8, 11-12 and 14-15. Tickets go on sale Feb. 24, the day "First Kiss" is released, with pre-sales for fan club members beginning Thursday, Feb. 19.

Foreigner will open the shows, and as with Rock's 2013 tour all tickets will be priced at $20, with all-inclusive tickets available via Walmart and reduced prices for parking, beer and merchandise at the shows.

"I'm just trying to give people the best time they can have for the fairest price possible," Rock says. "I think I'm gonna ride that ($20 ticket price) into the sunset. It worked out, thank God. We made enough money. We're not gonna buy brand new jet airplanes, but we're gonna make enough money to have some fun and support our lifestyles and, more importantly, give the fans a great show for a good price."

"First Kiss," Rock's first album since 2012's "Rebel Yell," is currently streaming at iTunesRadio.com/KidRock, and Rock will answer fan questions on iTunes' Twitter channel on Thursday, Feb. 19. Rock and company are performing at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, before the Daytona 500 race in Florida, which will be carried on Fox. Rock is also performing on NBC's "The Tonight Show" on Feb. 23, the "Today" show on Feb. 24 and will talk with Howard Stern on Feb. 25.
