Bob Seger's home town fans are getting what they most want for the holidays -- a Detroit-area concert announcement.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will play March 26 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Ticket and opening act information will be announced soon, and while just one show it will be a surprise if more are not added after the first date is on sale. Seger and company last played the Palace April 11 and 13, 2013.
The March 26 show is currently the closing date on Seger's Ride Out Tour, which began November 19 in wraps its first leg Friday, Dec. 19, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tour resumes Jan. 20 in Toledo and has also added new shows in Indianapolis, Kansas City, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Salt Lake City. Seger has also talked about possibly performing during the summer, but no shows have yet been announced.
Seger's "Ride Out" album, his first in eight years, came out in October and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 -- Seger's best showing since "Like a Rock" in 1986 -- and at No. 1 on the Rock Albums chart.
