News:
Eminem's new "Shady XV" album celebrated with ice cream flavor
Eminem's new "Shady XV" compilation is proving to be a treat. Literally.
The album, which features both new material as well as past hits by the Detroit rapper's record label, was celebrated in New York on Monday, Sept. 24, with the release of a new Michigan-themed flavor by Mike Likes It Ice Cream. The Shady XV flavor blends Michigan cherries, Sanders hot fudge and Vernors ginger ale into a confection that the parlor began scooping at its location in the East Village.
Shady act Slaughterhouse, which includes Detroit MC and Eminem's Bad Meets Evil partner Royce da 5'9", went to Mike Likes It on Monday to sample the Shady XV flavor.
The "Shady XV" album was also released Monday, with a disc of fresh tracks including the all-star "Detroit Vs. Everybody" and a second disc featuring Shady hits such as Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and 50 Cent's "In Da Club." Eminem has debuted a boxing-themed video for the track "Guts Over Fear," which features Sia on the vocal hooks.
Eminem himself does not appear in the clip, which was teased via a 30-second ad for Chrysler's Dodge brand during Sunday's (November 23) American Music Awards.
