One of, if not the, biggest gathering of autographed guitars and other items in the country will be on display -- and for sale -- this weekend at the annual Stars Guitars event.

The benefit for the Charles A. Main M.D. Pediatric Cancer Survivor Scholarship Fund of Beaumont Children's Hospital will feature instruments signed by James Taylor, Ted Nugent, Linkin Park, Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band, the Zac Brown Band, Sammy Hagar and his most recent band, the Goo Goo Dolls, Willie Nelson, Katy Perry, Rascal Flatts, Five Seconds of Summer and many more. Of particular interest will be a guitar signed by the late Johnny Winter, while Joe Satriani has donated a signed prototype of his Ibanez "Carmen" guitar from his personal collection.

The silent auction will also feature a number of non-music items, along with a strolling dinner and, at the end of the evening, a concert by America.

Stars Guitars takes place Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.
