Musicians, poets get down 'n' dirty at Erotic Poetry & Music Festvial

If Detroit's recent Dirty Show wasn't enough for you, the 27th Erotic Poetry & Music Festival takes the stage this weekend at Detroit's Hastings Street Ballroom.

Satori Circus, Audra Kubat, Margaret DollRod, Stephanie Loveless, Anastasia Gold, Olive Jus, Tara Lazaroof and the Detroit Dizzy Dames Burlesque are all slated to perform, along with poets and spoken word artists such as Jimmy Doom, Dena Luckett, Michael Janis, Lianna T and more. The Impaler and Peter Schorn will emcee, while art by Jeff Hocking, Christen Carolin, Tara Lazaroff, Alyssa Jade and Brian Lewandowski will be on display.

The event starts at 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. Hastings Street is located at 715 E. Milwaukee, Detroit. Admission is $10, with proceeds benefitting PawsWithaCause.org, which trains and provides leader dogs for the disabled. Call 313-873-2955 or visit www.tangentgallery.com.
