Mikey Eckstein has produced and promoted hundreds of concerts and events throughout the Detroit metro area through his Embarco Entertainment firm. But his latest endeavor is personal.

On Thursday Jan. 23, Eckstein will present a benefit for his mother, Sue Eckstein's Cancer Fight at Detroit's Magic Stick, to help with the cost of treatments and other medical expenses. The show will feature performances by Kaleido, which Eckstein manages, as well as rapper Trick Trick, Ty Stone, Daniel Harrison & the $2 Highway and others. Proceeds will also be raised by a silent auction and raffle that includes items donated by Kid Rock and Eminem and by the Detroit Red Wings, Pistons and Lions.

The Magic Stick is located at 4120 Woodward Ave., Detroit. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call 313-833-9700 or visit www.embarcoentertainment.com.
