Ann Arbor pianist Mark “Mr. B” Braun’s annual Blues and Boogie Celebration is a highly anticipated spring ritual, and the festival turns 10 this year with two nights (Friday and Saturday, April 13th and 14th) of 88-key bliss at The Ark, 316 S. Main St., Ann Arbor. This year’s bill includes fellow local veteran Bob Seeley, along with Chicago’s Ken Saydak and British-born Carl “Sonny” Leyland. Local headbangers Ray Street Park celebrate the release of their new album, “King of Everything,” with a free show on Saturday (April 14th) at Joe’s Primetime, 27845 Fort St., Gibraltar. Brazilian music will be the focus of this month’s edition of B’Jazz Vespers, which takes place at 6 p.m. Sunday (April 15th) at the First Baptist Church, 300 Willits St. (at Bates), Birmingham. Vocalist April Tini will be backed by pianist Matt Michaels, vibraphonist Rob Pipho, bassist Dan Jordan and drummer David Taylor.
