Their screaming fans have raised the roof at the Fox Theatre and the Palace. Now the British pop group One Direction is busting a Detroit stadium move.
The group will perform Aug. 16 at Ford Field as part of a 21-date North American tour that kicks off Aug. 1 in Toronto. The announcement comes on the heels of Monday's release of the quintet's third studio album, "Midnight Memories," and a pair of American Music Award wins on Sunday.
Tickets for the Ford Field show go on sale Dec. 7 via www.livenation.com. Fans can get early access with a Facebook RSVP at http:/bit.ly/1DRSVP starting Dec. 3, and City cardmembers will have also have presale access via Citi's Private Pass Program. The tour is being sponsored by Nabisco.
