The Detroit Symphony Orchestra's 2013-14 Orchestra Hall season kicks off with a special event on Saturday, Sept. 38,, with 23-year-old Chinese piano prodigy Lang Lang playing Prokofiev's Third Piano Concerto. The piece will be part of a Russian-themed night that also includes works by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Liadov and Rimskey-Korsakov.
Those who can't make it downtown will be able to catch a stream of the performance starting at 8 p.m. at dso.org/live.aspx.
