*The local rock community shed more than “96 Tears” after a Jan. 9 fi re destroyed the Vienna Township home of ? (ne Rudy Martinez) and killed four of his beloved dogs. Now the musicians are springing into action with tonight’s Question Mark Fire Relief Benefi t to raise money for the rock ’n’ roll veteran, who had no insurance. ? & the Mysterians will be joined by Nathaniel Mayer, the Hentchmen, the Avatars, Outrageous Cherry, Fortune & Maltese, the Meltdowns, the Fondas, the Space Heaters and others to raise funds to help pay for the physical damages. *Members of Detroit’s rap community will gather Saturday to celebrate the posthumous rerelease of the late producer/artist J Dilla’s 2003 album “Ruff Draft.” Slum Village’s Baatin, Guilty Simpson, Black Milk, Phat Kat, DJ House Shoes, Sean Doe and others are slated to take part in the salute at the Magic Stick, 4120 Woodward Ave., Detroit. *Local rockers Tin Knocker — whose Eddie Gillis is Jack White’s older brother and the head baker for William Beaumont Hospital — celebrate the release of their new 45 single with a show Saturday at the Lager House, 1254 Michigan Ave., Detroit. *There will be tunes as well as Tigers on Opening Day in the area around Detroit’s Comerica Park on Monday. The Verve Pipe will hold forth noon-1:15 p.m. in the parking lot near Gate A; Larry Lee & the Back in the Day Band will deliver some pre-show funk starting at 10 a.m. in the at the CBS Radio Opening Day Music Stage on Woodward Avenue near Grand Circus Park; and TJ Kelly will play the post-game show at 6 p.m.
