Drummer and bandleader Drew Schultz's ambitious "Back To Class" R&B project and fundraiser for the Detroit Public Schools music programs came out a year ago, but it's still going strong. On Sunday, Sept. 1, Schultz will release a new single from the album, "Take It Slow," which features guitarist Eddie "Chank" Willis from Motown's Funk Brothers along with members of the Drew Schultz Funk Machine, a five-piece horn section and Delbert Nelson on lead vocals.

Proceeds from the song, which will be available on all of the key digital music outlets. A video chronicling the recording of the track has been posted on YouTube.

"Back To Class" also features Detroit R&B veterans such as Melvin Davis, Spyder Turner, Dennis Coffey, Lenny Pickett, Pat Lewis, members of the Four Tops and Chairmen of the Board and others.
