A quintet of Detroit area singer-songwriters will play this weekend to raise money for the fi ght against breast cancer. Chickfest 2007 features Mary Abraham, Silent Violet, Michele Del Greco, Lori Withrow and Annie Palmer, who will perform starting at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Memphis Smoke, 100 S. Main St., Royal Oak. No admission will be charged at the door, but donations will be collected for the Karmanos Cancer Institute’s Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure. Call (248) 543-4300.

Americana-styled rockers the Pantones hit the road from Lansing this week to play tonight at the Corktown Tavern, 1716 Michigan Ave., Detroit.
