Bruce Springsteen fans are being left high and dry without tour dates in North America this year, but they can still get their Boss fix -- at the movie theater.
"Springsteen and I," a documentary about Springsteen devotees around the world, opens July 22 for special screenings in theaters around the world -- including the Livonia 20, the Commerce Township 14 in Walled Lake and the Forum 30 in Sterling Heights -- with an encore July 30, at 7:30 both nights. Tickets can be purchased at www.fathomevents.com.
"Springsteen and I" was directed by Baillie Walsh ("Flashbacks of a Fool") and consists entirely of fans' own video and photo submissions chronicling shows they've been to and encounters they've had with Springsteen and members of his E Street Band. The film was executive-produced by Academy Award winner Ridley Scott. A DVD release is expected later this year.
