Dennis Forbes, the popular local musician and co-frontman of the country group the Forbes Brothers who passed away last month, will be saluted with a pair of tribute shows this week.
The first will be the annual Holiday Jams show on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Mr. B's, 48550 Van Dyke Road in Shelby Township, which Forbes -- who was also an engineer on several Bob Seger albums -- co-owned. The Forbes Brothers will perform with JC Whitelaw, along with Forbes' nephew and co-founder of the Deaf Professional Arts Network (D-PAN) in Ferndale), 2XL, DJ Butthfingz and others. 2XL and DJ Butthfingiz will return on Saturday, Dec. 22, for an open jam that will be dedicated to Forbes.
Both shows start at 8 p.m., with a $5 cover. Proceeds will be donated to D-PAN. Call 586-731-0700 or visit www.mrbsshelby.com.
